Ashdown Primary School
Outreaches to other communities in our area remains a focus for Jacobs and we are proud to be an ongoing partner with Ashdown Primary School in Edendale. The most recent project undertaken was a renovation to the school’s kitchen facilities.
Ashdown provides a meal to 1600 pupils at 10H00 each school day. This mammoth task was being undertaken out of a small room with inadequate facilities. Jacobs partnered with other interested parties to renovate and extend these facilities, providing the school with a new, large, clean & bright kitchen facility. Jacobs contributed to the stainless steel preparation table, brackets and new shelving to provide more than adequate work space and storage.
The Jacobs electrical department undertook a total revamp of the electrics providing bright lighting and sufficient plug points with security gates and serving hatch doors being done by the Jacobs metal work department. Other contributions included attending to the gas reticulation, safe & secure housing for the gas bottles and painting. Jacobs looks forward to a continued relationship with Mrs Shezi and her amazing staff
