Jacobs Joinery & Shopfitters recently added a CNC machine to its ever-growing list of machinery and equipment. This new acquisition enables the company to expedite and improve the quality of the manufacturing process which ultimately provides clients with better service, product excellence, and reduced lead times. The CNC machine is capable of handling large volumes of precision cutting, routering and drilling during the manufacturing process, which improves efficiency and effectiveness. In addition the CNC machine minimises wastage which impacts positively on production costs and in turn on prices. Design drawings can be stored in the memory of the machine and then re-called in the future when they are needed again, expediting the production process. The CNC machine was purchased from Bulleri in Italy and the company recently sent a technician to the factory in Pietermaritzburg to commission the machine and train the operators. ![]() Download this article in PDF format (177KB) |
