Jacobs Joinery & Shopfitters have embarked upon a drive aimed at reducing absenteeism and disciplinary issues through positive reinforcement. All participating employees are eligible for a prize should they meet the minimum requirements of the scheme. The scheme is designed to encourage employees to achieve 100% attendance and keep their disciplinary records clean. All qualifying employees will be able to choose one of the following prizes: a dinner service, a kettle or a hot plate stove.
The scheme has been positively received by both staff and the Union alike and has achieved its objectives to-date. It is envisaged that the scheme will instill a sense of duty, responsibility and pride in the employees work.
